The Student Services Department consists of Academic and International Student Advisors. Student Services works with every student to orient them to the University and understand policy and procedures. Among other services, Academic Advisors assist our students to develop and accomplish academic goals, utilize and access student success resources, assisting with Faculty outreach, registration questions, and tutoring services.
Our goal is to guide you successfully through your program and help you get the answers you need along the way. We encourage you to reach out as soon as you have questions about your education. Common areas that we can assist with are:

The University continues to monitor the spread of COVID-19, coronavirus, and for the safety and health of its employees and students it has temporarily closed its San Diego campus. The Office of the Registrar, like all other academic and administrative departments continues to operate remotely to serve you.
Please note, although we strive to minimize the impact to services and continue to support you, there may be a delay in services such as mailing of documents. Telephone services may also be negatively affected and we encourage that all form of communication be via the department email at registrar@usuniversity.edu. If official transcripts are required the Office of the Registrar is only processing electronic delivery and not mailing any transcripts at this time.
The Office of the Registrar processes all requests for student transcripts and other official documentation. All requests must be submitted in writing by student or alumni. Below you will find the process on how to request documentation.
USU has partnered with the National Student Clearinghouse and uses the National Student Clearinghouse Transcript Ordering Services. Please follow the link to be redirected to the National Student Clearinghouse Transcript Ordering System.
Students may request unofficial transcripts and other appropriate records by completing the Documentation Request Form. Students must complete and sign the form using a black or blue ink pen. Typed or electronic signature will not be accepted.

Diplomas will not be released until all financial obligations are met and library materials, equipment, or other college property is returned. Questions about student ledgers should be directed to the Student Accounts Department at studentaccounts@usuniversity.edu.
The Office of the Registrar will not accept any education or degree verification requests over the phone. Any third party wishing to verify an alumni/student’s education or degree must provide USU with the written consent/authorization form signed by the student by faxing this document to 888-806-6762 or mailing to Office of the Registrar, United States University, 7675 Mission Valley Road, San Diego, California 92108.
